It is easy to get one’s focus on people and things which often leads to worry, fear, discouragement, depression, and much more.  The believer is instructed in the Bible to keep their eyes on the Lord lest they become involved with the wrong associations or move into sinful areas of life.  Attention and focus are impacted by:

  • Reading and investing time in the Bible

  • Examining one’s life in light of the Word

  • Biblically dealing with sins

  • Sensitive and direct obedience to the Word

  • Careful obedience to the Holy Spirit

  • Living godly in this present world

Just as one cleans their eyeglasses each day so they can see more clearly, the believer needs to obediently clean up their spiritual life so their spiritual eyes are on the Lord.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your Word. Guide me in all I do today that my spiritual eyes are focused on obedience to Your Word in every aspect of my life.
