History.

Encounter Revival Ministries was established in 1992 out of a burden for the discipleship of young people and the need for spiritual renewal among believers. Originating in Charlotte, North Carolina by Ardy Parlin, Encounter began as a team of young adults trained in music and youth ministry for schools and churches. Encounter soon expanded to include week-long church meetings with a special emphasis on spiritual revival.

In 1997, Encounter moved their headquarters to Mt. Lou San Bible Camp, located in Harrisburg, PA. From here, the ministry continued to grow as year after year, young men and women continued to commit a part of their life to the ministry and discipleship available at Encounter Revival Ministries.

After hosting Christopher Boda and hearing his testimony in 2003, Encounter began to partner with BTM (Banjara Tribal Ministries).  Providing food, clothing, shelter, education, and a gospel presence in the lives of hundreds of orphaned and abandoned children became a focal point of ERM.  In 2005, Encounter travelled to Zambia for a mission trip.  At that time, a group of young adults led by Leonard Bwalya formed a discipleship team similar to the USA team.  Since that time, Encounter has raised funds and awareness for the AERM (African Encounter Revival Ministries) team and has provided training to the young adults in Zambia.  We became connected with our partner in Myanmar in 2008.  In addition to caring for orphans, Hung Ling is planting churches and training students in a Bible Institute setting.

God has continued to bless the ministries of Encounter for over 30 years.  While the vehicles of ministry have changed over time, the mission of revival and spiritual renewal remains steadfast.
