Cup is Running Over

Psalms 23:1-6, John 10:10, Philippians 4:13, Psalms 103:1-5

Life is like a cup of water and God fills it to running over with His care and blessings.  Yet many are focused on how empty their life-cup is rather than the fact that, by God’s power, love, and presence, their cup of life is actually running over.  Recently, I was challenged to list 50 things I was thankful for which had me looking at my life-cup as it was running over.  It is true that as a believer one suffers and has problems; but in all of this, the life-cup is running over as God sees, knows, and gives what is best.  The Apostle Paul reminds us that Christ is working in and through this human vessel so others can see the presence and power of God.  He even prayed that his “thorn in the flesh” would be removed but God gave His grace and strength instead so others would see Him.

Prayer: Lord, help me always to see my life-cup as running over with Your blessings so I am a joy and blessing to others.
