It is unfortunate that many people stay focused on what they do not have instead of thinking, and being thankful, for all that they have now. Yes, the wise and productive person has goals and daily works toward accomplishing these things. However, to stay focused on thinking about the things one does not have leads to:
Negative thinking on many things
Complaining and murmuring
Irritability
Isolationism
Unkindness in actions and words
Things, devices, and accomplishments only give temporary contentment. However, to be thankful, grateful, merciful, and pleasant impacts others deeply and does matter.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for family, food, protection, provisions, and life. Work in my life today to be a testimony of Your blessings and that I would be a blessing to others.
