Praying for Others

James 5:16, I Timothy 2:1, Job 42:10, Ephesians 6:18, Matthew 5:43-45

It is the great joy of believers to pray for the needs of others both near and far away geographically. It is easy to become so focused on one’s problems and challenges that others are often forgotten. However, many need God’s moving in their life and it is the believer’s great joy to pray for:

  • People to be protected

  • Hungry people and those in need of clean water

  • Lonely and depressed people

  • Persecuted Christians

  • physically ill people

  • Missionaries away from family and friends

  • Faithful servants of the Lord

It would be helpful to make your list now and travel many miles in prayer as you bring their needs to the eternal, all-sufficient God. It brings great joy to invest in others as one prays for their needs.

Prayer: Lord, I do praise You for all the blessings I enjoy and the great joy as I bring these to Your throne in prayer.
