Clear it Out

II Corinthians 10:5, Proverbs 4:23, Philippians 4:8, Psalms 139:23-24, Romans 12:2, Colossians 3:1-3

When a person gets into their car they automatically check the gauges to see if everything is okay.  So it is as a new day begins.  As one gets out of bed they are generally reminded of challenges, hurts, and events of the new day. Also, as a person ages, things look somewhat difficult.  As Dr. David Jeremiah writes, “every human clock ticks off the moments toward vulnerability, insecurity, and dependency”.  It is important that the believer gets a “heavenly perspective” on the events of each day in order to clear out the ideas, thoughts, and negative thinking that easily invades one’s life.  It is important that the follower of Christ:

  • Sets their attention on heavenly things

  • Prays for strength, wisdom, and understanding

  • Reflects on the blessings and goodnesses of God

  • Commits all to God

  • Determines to do His will today

Prayer: Lord, guide me to see life today from Your perspective and that all I do and say will honor You and be a blessing to others.
