Who is in Control

Proverbs 25:28, Romans 7:18, II Timothy 1:7, Proverbs 16:32, I Peter 5:6-8, Matthew 5:13-16, Ephesians 4:1-3

Many times words or actions are evidence that a person is out of control which creates problems, hurt regret, and much more. We are reminded in the Bible to:

  • Control the words we speak. James 1:19

  • Commit our actions to the Lord. Proverbs 3:5-6

  • Reach out to others. Galatians 6:2

  • Speak words of kindness and concern. Proverbs 25:11

  • Conduct ourselves as followers of Christ. Ephesians 4:1

  • Do not try to get even. Romans 12:19

  • Forgive and forget. Matthew 18:21-35

To be out of control and not in obedience to the Word and the leading of the Holy Spirit is dangerous and problematic.  It is the joy of the believer to speak, live and behave as God’s vessel and this conduct brings joy and peace.

Prayer: Lord, show me my heart and the areas I need to change and adjust to respond as Your child today and bring honor to Your name.
