Strength for Today

John 16:33, Romans 15:5, 8:28-39, Psalms 121:1-2, Nehemiah 8:10, Isaiah 41:10, Exodus 15:2, Joshua 1:9

Some days it seems like one does not have the strength that is needed to face the problems and challenges of life. Yet, we are often reminded in the Scriptures that:

  • Our Lord is watching (II Chronicles 16:9)

  • God knows all about our pain (Deuteronomy 29:29)

  • God knows our future (Jeremiah 29:11)

  • God is our great Shepherd (Psalms 23:1-6)

So, for strength and renewal the believer needs to spend time:

  • Reading the Bible

  • Praying to the Lord

  • Meditating in and on the Word

  • Memorizing the Scriptures

  • Reviewing the many promises of the Lord

  • Listening to God-honoring hymns (such as It Is Well with My Soul by H.G. Spafford)

Prayer: It is great to know that You know all and are my strength for today.
