A Bright Light

Galatians 5:22-23, Romans 12:3-21, Ephesians 4:32

A person can talk and say almost anything, but it is one’s conduct and behavior that demonstrates the reality of what is in their heart.  Jesus said in Matthew 12:35-37 that one’s words are prepared in the heart. The writer James Merritt puts it this way, “no matter how much you claim to be a good person, the only public measuring stick is your actions.”

It is in one’s actions and words that the work of Christ (in the heart/inner person) shows to others… and this display draws people to Him.  One who obeys the Spirit of God and the Word of God and shows love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance - that one is a vessel of the Lord to impact and influence those they contact each day. Each moment of the day is vitally important that a believer follows and obeys the leading of God.

Prayer: Lord, work in my life today to show others Your love and changing power.
