CAMP WATER SYSTEM From the moment a camper wakes up in the morning to the moment his head hits the pillow at night, water is a significant part of the day at Mt. Lou San. Let me count the ways. • Morning shower • Drink at meals • Afternoon dip in the pool • Washing dishes • Group activities (i.e. water balloon launch) • Using toilets • Brushing teeth
I think you get the picture; we really use our water system at Mt. Lou San. Because we rely on this so heavily, it is important that we address our current system. The two wells that service our property currently use an ultraviolet light to purify the water. DEP (Department of Environmental Protection) no longer approves this system, and we have until June 1 to comply with their standards. What will it take to get in compliance? Well, I’m glad you asked.
• A 4,000 gallon NSF approved tank • 2 pumps • Fittings to connect the existing wells to the new tank • Installation of the system and a building to house the new tank
As we enter this project and partner with a water conditioning company, the cost for this project is estimated at $15,000. Coupled with the ongoing need for new hot water heaters in the 2 buildings with dorms at $10,000 we are trusting God to supply a total of $25,000. While that is a big number, we serve a big God and believe He will provide in a timely fashion. We already have one significant gift toward the water system. Will you join us in prayer and consider giving toward this project?
Thanks for considering taking the plunge and making a splash for the ministry at Mt. Lou San Bible Camp!
