Proverbs 12:25, 17:11, 25:11; James 3:1-12
Many people are weighed down with burdens and troubles of life, and we have the great opportunity to share a “good word” with them. Our Scripture today reminds us to say a “good word” to those in need. It may be a good word of thanks, encouragement, peace, direction, good news of salvation, heavenly wisdom, God’s presence and power, a promise from the Word, or just a word of personal concern.
Sometimes we labor to find a way of helping others when really a “good word” is what they need. Speak a “good word” today to a person with a heavy heart, and God will use those words to encourage and lift those in need.
