Ephesians 6:10-16, Proverbs 27:12, Ephesians 5:15
It doesn’t take much to make a person stumble and fall as they walk through life each day. Many people have tripped and suffered severe injuries from stumbling over a small obstacle.
We are also to be careful and alert spiritually as we move through life each day since there are many possibilities to stumble into sin and disaster. In our Scripture for today, we are reminded that the enemy sets traps and schemes to deceive and cause us to stumble and become involved in sin. By God’s grace, wisdom, and strength, we can be alert to traps of immorality, impurity, dishonesty, revenge, anger, bitterness, evil thoughts, and the like.
The Apostle Paul reminds us to “put on the whole armour of God” so that we will be able to discern and avoid stumbling over and into sins. So we must walk, talk, think, and live cautiously; everyday obeying the Word of God in each area of life so we do not trip over the traps of the enemy.
