Philippians 2:1-11, I Corinthians 10:31, Philippians 1;21, Proverbs 4:23
Each day we have the great opportunity of influencing many people of all ages and in various situations. Whether it is at home, on the job, at the store, or in the multitude of “casual” interactions with others, we leave our influence.
The question should not be how many we influence, but how are we influencing each person? Just think about all the people that have had a significant influence on your life and what they did or said that was an influence that made a difference in your life. For some there were words of encouragement, yet others influenced just by example. Influence is the thing that happens moment by moment each day but is all prepared in the heart and mind. One must be cautions and selective in all that they allow to make a home in their heart and mind.
Someone once said, “Live in such a way that those who know you but don’t know God will come to know God because they know you.” (Unknown) Influencing others comes and goes quietly and quickly throughout each day.
