Be a Christian Influence

Philippians 1:21, Matthew 5:13-16, II Corinthians 4:1-7

Each day we have multiple opportunities to influence others, from family members to many casual encounters daily.  As a follower of Christ, we should be leaving a godly influence in the heart and mind of the people we meet daily.  For some we will have the joy of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ and how they can know Him as Lord and Savior.  For others it may be a kind and encouraging word, a smile, a listening ear, a helping hand, or some other good and godly influence.

In all, the follower of Jesus should be leaving a spiritual influence and impact as they journey through life each day.  As we start out on this new day, let’s commit to leaving a Biblical influence wherever we go today. Today we will have many opportunities to outlive our life by sharing the truth of the good news and the blessings of knowing and living in obedience to the Word of God.

Being a Christian influence DOES make a difference. Think for a moment of the people that have greatly influenced your life and determine to do the same for others.
