Isn’t it tragic that many a Christian’s life looks like this dry and empty well in Africa? People could come to this well hoping to find relief but go away as thirsty as they were when they arrived.
Scripture remind us that believers who love and follow the Lord obediently are to be a voice of hope to those who do not know the Lord. Yet many times people looking for hope, relief, answers to life, and eternity do not see or hear Biblical answers from Christians. In a world of confusion and compromise, many believers talk, act, dress, and conduct themselves just like the world, and their life offers no “light in a dark world.”
The apostle Paul clearly stated that “if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” It is the great joy of the obedient believer to be a “vessel of honor” for the Lord in a world without hope and answers.
Today we will pass by multitudes of people that will be looking at our life, listening to our words, and watching our actions, and their only hope is to point them to the Lord.
