Happiness is a Choice

Happiness and joy are seen on the face of this young lady in Zambia as she finds reason to rejoice in the fruit of harvest.  The wonder of technology, exciting adventure, or unbelievable experience are absent, but her joy is found in just a good crop of ground nuts.

Yes, “happiness is a choice,” and often this choice is centered on something that lasts for only a few moments.

Proverbs 16:20b teaches, “...whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he.”

What does it take to make us happy?

Does our life demonstrate happiness in the Lord?

Are others drawn to the joy that God gives in our life?  Matthew 5:16

Would people say that we are a "happy person?”

The Apostle Paul instructs in Philippians 4:4, “rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice.”

Choosing to be happy in the presence, power, provisions, and peace of our Lord may seem insignificant but is as attractive as a well-kept garden of beautiful flowers.
