Just as this African Encounter Team member comes to draw water from the well daily, the believer should come joyfully each day for the “living water” in the Word of God.
It is the “water of the Word” that sustains the soul, feeds the inner person, and gives direction for life each day. Yet we often allow our schedules to be so full that there is no time to “taste and see that the Lord is good.” Just as this young lady in Zambia walks to the well for good water, we must take the time and energy to go to the well of “living water.”
Each person has the same amount of time today. We must be diligent and careful to invest time today to go to the well of God’s Word for instruction, wisdom, guidance, warning, knowledge, and much more.
It is in reading, meditating, memorizing, and obeying God’s Word that one knows the ways and will of God.
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."
