Each morning, the young people at the Banjara Tribal Ministries in Hyderabad, India stop and take time to pray. They are careful to thank God for all the provisions and blessings that they enjoy. The young people are also diligent to thank God for all the people who pray and send funds to care for their daily needs.
As I was listening to the birds this morning, my mind went to Matthew 6:26 and the reminder that God takes care of each the “fowls of the air,” and He will take care of His children. However, we often choose to worry instead of pray. Worry divides the mind and causes one to take on the thoughts and ways of the world instead of trusting God.
Our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
God who parted the sea, gave water from the rock, and defeated an enemy is the same today.
God desires that we bring all our “burdens” to Him in trusting prayer.
God does answer prayer.
God “knows the way through the wilderness.”
God always does what is best.
The Apostle Paul instructs in Philippians 4:6 not to be anxious but to bring all our requests to the Lord.
“He who cannot calmly leave his affairs in God’s hand, but will carry his own burdens, is very likely to be tempted to use wrong means to help himself.” C. Spurgeon
