As we interact and associate with people each day, there are many decisions and choices to be made. We often forget how the choices we make affect others, and we quickly make decisions that have hurt, embarrassed or caused people to be discouraged.
In our Scriptures for today, we have some guiding principles of choices and decision-making God’s way. We should consider the following questions.
- Is this a just decision?
- Am I showing mercy?
- Is this decision made with humility?
- Is pride or a proud spirit motivating this decision?
In all of the daily choices and decisions, we must be cautious that our heart/mind is centered on pleasing God and being obedient to His Word. This attitude leads one to be sensitive and cautious to consider how our decisions will impact others. Careful and prayerful thoughts, couched in Biblical principles, will keep our decisions/choice honoring to God and helpful to others.
