Ephesians 4:29, James 3:1-12
We must never forget the importance of words. Each day we speak thousands of words on our journey of life, and it is imperative that one is careful about the words that are spoken.
Many people have been injured, embarrassed, discouraged, and distracted by the wrong words. Our Scripture passage for today reminds us that the “tongue is a small member but can cause great problems.” So as we communicate with others today, caution and godly wisdom should be our goal.
Pray for wisdom.
Think before speaking.
Be sure never to speak dishonest words.
Speak words that refresh and encourage.
Sometimes, it is better to not speak at all.
Be an instrument in God’s hand to lift and help others with your words.
Check out I Corinthians 10:31 and Ephesians 4:29 and remember in a few hours, today will be past and you will have spoken a multitude of words which will impact others and for which you will give an account to God. (Ecclesiastes 12: 13-14)
