Psalm 103:1-5, Ephesians 1:16, I Chronicles 16:34
The joy expressed on the faces of these children in Myanmar shows a thankful and blessed spirit. Often we do not express joy and thanks for the many blessings that we enjoy each day. Rather than being thankful, grumbling and complaining about our difficulties often come from one’s life.
Just think about all the blessings. We would do well to cultivate the habit of “counting our blessings” each day. This habit is a great help in keeping our mind and heart focused on blessings rather than concentrating on things we wish we could enjoy. A great start to each day is to count your blessings. Writing your blessings in a journal is also a great practice. It is also helpful to share how God has blessed your life with others as a testimony to the faithfulness of God and an encouragement to others.
Recalling blessings brings joy to the heart and glory to God. So “count your blessings.”
