Spiritual Renewal & Discipleship

Our National Headquarters is located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania at Mt. Lou San Bible Camp. From this location, Encounter operates its Christian Leadership Center of Discipleship, as well as its ongoing ministries of the camp. The Encounter Crusade Team, lead by Encounter director, Ardy Parlin, is made up of young adults who serve as Singers, Technicians, Office Personnel, and Children's Workers. The team is constantly involved in Discipleship and Out-Reach Ministries as they travel throughout the nation proclaiming the truths of God's Word in Churches and Christian Schools.

Church-wide meetings for spiritual awakening and renewal
These meetings provide a setting for the entire family to be challenged from the Word. During each meeting, the Encounter Ministry Team presents godly music that ministers and a clear presentation of Biblical truth. Divided sessions are provided for children, teens and adults so that each group is taught the same truths at the appropriate level. The teaching is designed to help believers in their daily walk by providing helps to overcome defeat and live in victory.

Christian School Meetings
These meetings are geared to young people in grades 6-12. The schedule fits into the different settings of Christian schools for maximum ministry. The topics of the meetings include: “Battle for the Mind,” “Daily Quiet Time that Works,” “Living Godly in an Ungodly World,” “Being a Salty Christian,” “Be Careful – Don’t Think like the World” and more. The Encounter Team is greatly involved in the meetings by sharing music that ministers, personal testimonies of God’s work in their lives, drama and leading in small group discussions.

Foreign Missions Service 

Encounter is also committed to spreading the good news of salvation beyond our domestic boundaries by orchestrating an annual foreign Mission Trip. This is not only an opportunity for the Travel Team to witness abroad, but various members of the Encounter Staff as well.
